Morodo MO-Call Now Available on Apple iPhone

Morodo (News - Alert) this week announced the availability of its low-cost calling service, MO-Call, on Apple iPhones.

Morodo Group provides mobile services to many customers under the brand name MO-Call. It also offers software services to conventional telecoms carriers and mobile networks.

Morodo's Managing Director, Andrew Reid, stated in the statement, "The iPhone (News - Alert) is a very desirable object but I think everyone agrees that there's not much to like about Mobile Network Operator call charges. MO-Call for the iPhone provides a great money-saving alternative for consumers. This is yet another step towards our goal of becoming a global Virtual International Mobile Network Operator."

MO-Call, designed and developed at Beijing Morodo is distributed to customers for free of charge who have got their mobile numbers registered at the website. It is a Virtual Mobile Network, the company said.

MO-Call application is said to be a public Beta software release that is developed in Java J2ME, Windows Mobile Pocket PC, Windows Mobile Smartphone, Symbian (News - Alert) and the RIM SDK for Blackberry.  It uses various telephony technologies, from SMS to SIP and can seamlessly connect customers calls with benefit of savings. It can work on more than 850 different mobiles of different make.

MO-Call that features easy operation is similar to making international call over a mobile network, but the customers can enjoy lower rates compared to other international rates in the present day market, says company.

Morodo adopted its MO-Call World technology in order to make the service available on the iPhone. With the help of this innovative service, customers will be able to connect a phone call between any two telephone-numbers from the Web browser present in the iPhone.

James Barnes, Morodo's Technical Director, said in the statement, "MO-Call for the iPhone is a browser-based callback service. It's very simple to use, customers just need to go to our mobile website from their iPhone to sign-up. We're even offering some free trial call credit for iPhone users in the USA, Canada and Hong Kong."

Barnes added: "It's wonderful to be able to showcase the talents of our Beijing development teams once again. Usually, the mobile developers get all the credit at Beijing Morodo; this time, I'm pleased to say that it's the web developers who have delivered."
