Telular Unveils Latest Cellular Alarm Communicator

Telular, a provider of event monitoring and wireless access solutions for business and residential customers, today announced the launch of a new cellular alarm communicator, TG-11, for residential and commercial purposes.

TG-11 is built on Telular’s (News - Alert) patented Telguard Digital technology, which is used in more than 400,000 intrusion detection systems in homes and businesses across the U.S, the company said. Telguard Digital solution provides full data and event monitoring to help mitigate any damage from fires or burglary.

TG-11 is supposedly the smallest and most lightweight cellular alarm solution in the security market. It is capable of transmitting alarm signals over the air if telephone lines get disrupted or compromised, or even when the wireline service is not available.

Telular TG-11 can function as a primary, backup or dual mode cellular communicator. It can transmit complete data from security and fire systems to central stations. The alarm communicator finds the best applications in light commercial, business, and residential applications, Telular said.

The innovative design of TG-11 saves a lot of time and money of its users, claims Telular. Having designed for the Vista 10, 15 and 20 control panels, TG-11 utilizes the power and backup battery from the Vista panel; hence, it does not require a separate power supply or battery. Its unique design offers various installation options to choose from. TG-11’s over-the-air uploading and downloading functionality saves a lot of time and efforts of the users.

George Brody, senior vice president and general manager sales and service, Telular, said, “Today, security dealers are looking for ways to reduce costs and boost recurring revenue. The TG-11 was developed in response to the industry’s need for a wireless solution that is faster to install and less expensive.”

“The TG-11 delivers on our commitment to provide quality cellular alarm products and support to security dealers so that they can meet the needs of a broad range of customers while managing their costs,” added Brody.

Telular provides Telguard Online account management system to simplify TG-11’s activation process. Security dealers can register, configure, and view subscriber activity using a multi-level user authorization. With this facility, they can monitor subscribers and manage their account effortlessly.

Telguard Digital TG-11 will be available towards the end of September.
